BTS! Again!

Yea sooo I'm back at Vassar! Wooo! Gonna be a busy week... I didn't have ne midterms before break sooo im paying for it now....

As you prob know, I went to see HSM3 on Friday! It was fantastic! The closing number was PERFECT for ending this HSM storyarch... I can't really describe in words how great it was... You'll just have to go see it!

The only real irk I had with the movie is that it seemed like every two seconds Troy and Gabriella were doing a duet....

I thought that the Kelsey/Ryan romance was cute, even if we all know that Ryan's gay. I also think that Jimmy "The Rocket" will be a great leading man for HSM4, if they decide to go that route....

Also, it looks like they left it open for Ashley Tisdale to come back to the franchise at some point - she's going to be Ms. Darbus' assistant....

I hope you have a lovely start to the second-half of the semester!!

Oh, Disney

Why must you run a good thing into the ground?

We already know that High School Musical 4 is in the works
, and though it hasn't "officially" been announced by Disney, the Disney Insider e-mail that was just sent out had a link to an interview with three new sophomore cast members...

Sophomore? I thought the film was about Senior Year. It seems Disney is keeping its options open by introducing an entire new "sub-cast" that can be tapped for HSM4.

Look at some of the HUMONGOUS hints at HSM4 that I found in the article:

"But there are some new faces among them — the debuting sophomores who just might represent the future of America's most beloved on-screen high school."

"And the new kids at East High are there to remind us that there are always new challenges to meet ... and new stories to tell."

Disney, just announce it officially - Disney Channel President Rich Ross has already confirmed the script's being written - and doom the High School Musical franchise to go the way of Pirates: highly profitable, but also just plain bad.

I Finished Reading Othello and Twelfth Night!!

Yea. That's pretty much ALL I did today - so my homework for one class is done! Yay! Three more classes to go!

I also picked up the HSM3 soundtrack today, and my God, if the music is any indicator, this movie is gonna be GREAT. And hugely popular - but maybe that's a foregone conclusion. Comingsoon.net is projecting it could have one of biggest opening weekends in October ever, taking in almost $50 million! Friday night!! XD

Oh, and back to Shakespeare - I was in the midst of reading Twelfth Night when my mom walked by... I said, "Mom this play is really funny!" And she was like "What, Othello?" I was like "No. That's a tragedy." She said "Oh, well how am I supposed to know?" haha!

That was deff funnier in real life than it is in print.... hmmmm....

Happy Tuesday!!
;D

Good News!

So you may or may not know that my TV broke last week. Yeah. Sucks. Big time. Wouldn't even turn on. Had it since August 07.

I took it to Circuit City today. I didn't have my receipt, and when I called to find out if they did repairs, they said they did but they'd have to ship it out to the manufacturer and that it would cost at least $40. I wasn't optimistic going in.

I explained my prob to the guy I brought it in to, and he was very nice about it. He asked for my phone number - that's how they track purchases (I paid cash) - and found out I hadn't taken out a service plan on it. He took it in the back to make sure that nothing physical was causing the malfunction.

After a few minutes, he came out of the back and told me that it was probably a defective TV and that it would be cheaper for me to buy a new one. I was about to protest when he said that he could give me a FULL REFUND for what I originally paid for the TV towards a comparable NEW one, but only if I picked one out right away.

That was a no-brainer for me. I got a $300 TV for $30 today!! Yay! I also bought a 3-year service plan for $60, so that'll cover me till I leave Vassar.

I thought that this was awesome for a company to do - I didn't have my receipt or anything, and didn't even ask for or expect a full refund! I also doubt my fave electronics store, Best Buy, would do the same. They told me they don't even repair TVs under 25 inches.

Forks and Bigotry

So yesterday after work, I went over to my cousins' house for dinner... fish sticks and french fries mmmmhmmmmm...

Anyway, when I sat down to watch a movie, I got poked in my butt with a fork that had been lying on the seat. I called over to my three-year-old cousin, Jake - "Hey Jake, look, a fork was in my butt!" We both laughed hysterically.

A few minutes later, Jake picked up the fork, and charged at me with it, yelling "FORK IN YOUR BUTT!!" My three-year-old cousin tried to fork me. LMAO. Boys will be boys.

Earlier that day, at work, I was assigned to the Young Men's quad. Just behind it is men's shoes. This woman walked up to the quad, where me and Ereika, a twenty-something, were standing, and asked if we could help her find a shoe. We said we didn't work in that dept and referred her to the associate who was. She said, "Nonono - I want YOU because you're young - you know what's trendy, what's on the cutting edge."

I was like oooooook.... Her husband, who she was shopping for, is 53. I'm 18.

She wanted a slip-on shoe for her husband. I really don't like the moccasin look, so I showed her one that was slightly less casual, but definitely not dressy. She wanted something "fresh."

So she looked it over, looked right at me and goes "Look at all this stitching, though.... Don't you think it's a little too gay?"

A few things:

1. There was NOT a lot of stitching on the shoes.
2. In any case, how the FUCK does excessive STITCHING make something look GAY?
3. She went on to say the same thing about various shoes about 3 more times.
4. It almost got to the point where I wanted to say, "Ma'am, I'd love to help you find a nice pair of shoes for your husband, but quite frankly, I think I'm a little TOO GAY to do that."

Sooo... first day back. Eventful, no?

Daymn. Long Time....

Like two months since I've posted on here....

Anywayyyyy

With the death of Blog9, I've decided to resume blogging here for the future... content won't be that different; it might be of a more personal nature, as I don't feel I have to jump through hoops to make posts anymore... It should also be more casual.

I've resumed writing my book. Yea, my book! I started writing it in August of 07 but I quickly lost interest, but I started writing the second chapter tonight and I'm not sure exactly where it's going, but that's what makes it exciting - it's an adventure!!

Leave some love - I already miss you Vassar people! I was practically crying on the way back... I've been really emotional today....

Back to work tomorrow! Yay! =P
