As I'm sure you read, Mads has just posted a YouTube vid they found, in which Meryl Streep talks briefly of her days at Vassar.
I'd never known when she'd graduated, so when she said 2 years it was all female, 2 years coed, I found that very interesting... She probably has a really good perspective on what the shift was like.
Incidentally, she was on the Late Show to promote her new movie, Mamma Mia! which opened to lukewarm reviews... In fact, my latest issue of "Entertainment Weekly" downright slams it:
"Most of the film's numbers consist of Meryl Streep, her two fellow feisty broads (Christine Baranski and Julie Walters), and a handful of other actors who can sort of sing cavorting on beaches with happy amateur glee, as if it were the first day of rehearsal and the director, Phyllida Lloyd, had tried to tune everyone into the ecstasies of ABBA by declaring: Let yourself go!"
The film got a C+ overall. Ouch.

Well I LOVED it even though it left out my favorite song from the show, "Thank You For the Music," and Colin Firth is as dreamy as ever :)
